The gifts in the boot are meant to reward children for their good behavior throughout the year. This tradition is a precursor to the modern-day tradition of hanging stockings for Santa Claus to fill on Christmas Eve. **

To wash a prayer rug, start by shaking it outside to remove any loose dirt or debris. Then, spot clean any stains with a gentle detergent and water. If the rug is machine washable, use a delicate cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the fibers of the rug. Finally, air dry the prayer rug by laying it flat or hanging it up to maintain its shape and prevent shrinkage. **
